Crab spider - Xysticus punctatus

Crab spider - Xysticus punctatus
near Cadillac, Wexford County, Michigan, USA
June 10, 2004
Found on the same day and in a similar situation to the other crab spider I have posted today - on a flower growing by the roadside. It is similar to the previous example but there are definite differences in colour and markings. any help in identification will be much appreciated.

Thankyou for your input! We have bought a few guides to US flora and flora but as they only cover a selection of species and it is often difficult to be sure - especially as some of the illustrations are not vey clear!
