Must be a stinkbug - Tetyra bipunctata

Size: 13mm
Found in discarded rug near garbage bin. Just curious: I thought it was an interesting looking beetle until it decided to let me know otherwise. ID possible? Should go to frass if of no particular interest. Thanks.

Thanks for your effort to have the bug identified, and thank you, Dr. Eger, for doing it. Actually, using the early hint "Scutelleridae" and available images, I had already suspected Tetyra bipunctata as a likely candidate. Maybe one of the dorsal images should go to Frass.

Too bad -
I am a novice with this kind of bug. Next time I know what to do. This one should perhaps be frassed.

'stinkbug' in the broad sense
Looks more like Scutelleridae.

I just went by the odor! Oddly enough the bug did not emit it when I touched it, but as I put a ruler next to it to measure, it raised its entire body and....
