Explanation of Names
Specific epithet for the larval feeding habit (conifers).
Range
Known from Alberta, British Columbia and California.

Larvae have been reared from lodgepole pine (
Pinus contorta), Douglas-fir (
Pseudotsuga menziesii), and juniper (
Juniperus sp.) in Alberta; Engelmann spruce (
Picea engelmannii) and western hemlock (
Tsuga heterophylla) in British Columbia. There is also a doubtful record for cottonwood (
Populus sp.).
