Explanation of Names
"The species is named for Prof. A.B. Klots, in recognition of his kind assistance in the present author's work on the Nearctic Tortricidae." (1) Alexander Barrett Klots (1903-1989) collected the holotype male.
Size
Forewing length 8-9.5 mm. (1)
Range
Holotype male: Panchuela Ranger Station, near Cowles, New Mexico, July 6-9, 1957 (A.B. Klots).
Food
Larval hosts are white fir (Abies concolor) and Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii). (2)
