Diaphania Moth
Moved from ID Request.

From the ventral side, I'm not sure I can be distinguish between Melonworm Moth (5204) and Cucumber Moth (5207), as the underside of both are white and both occur in Texas.

appears to be...
Melonworm Moth - Diaphania hyalinata

Diaphania
Diaphania indica is also possible in Texas

Diaphania indica
Maury,
I compared specimens of each on BOLD. The only consistent difference I could find was that all the D. indica specimens have a wide, brown band around the abdomen, lining up with the brown borders. The D. hyalinata specimens do not have that band. I subquently found a written description of D. indica, consistent with my observations.
