Unknown Butterfly possible Painted lady? - Libytheana carinenta

Size: About 2.5 inches
While out hiking along a trail there was a bush with about 8 of these butterflies flitting about. It looks something like a painted lady but not exactly. The butterfly appears worn. I looked at various resources and could not identify this species.
