Cicindela formosa - Male

Size: 18 mm
Found in old gravel pit with four other species: scutellaris, repanda, tranquebarica, and punctulata. The formosa are two to three times the bulk of the other tiger beetles in the pit. I wonder if they ever prey on the smaller species?
