Tube Web Spider - Ariadna bicolor - female

Tube Web Spider - Ariadna bicolor - Female
Gloucester County, New Jersey, USA
May 7, 2010
Found outside along the foundation of the house while trying to get rid of ant holes in my front walk way (I noticed some of the holes were not like the others so I coaxed one out).

Now that you have seen these guys in person,
do you have a better feel for them? Do you see any on the base Araneae pages or the Entelegynes pages? Hoping we might get some of our puzzles matched!

....
I think I'd probably recognize them if I saw them. If you think there may be some in there I'll look through. I usually figure things that have been placed in there have already be reviewed by you and the others and are likely too complicated for me to narrow down.

We haven't seen these guys
and don't see any on those pages with exactly this leg position. But since we don't know them, we always think about them when we see things like 254474. We suppose that it is worth a look if you have time, but not likely to be successful :(

...
Wow, I see what you mean. I don't think that's what it is though, at least from what I can see of the eyes it looks different.

Nice one!
