Lachesilla kathrynae Mockford & Gurney - Lachesilla kathrynae - Male
San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, USA
December 4, 2012
Size: 2.2 mm
Captured at Aquarena Springs on dead palm leaves. You can see the distinguishing characteristics wihout dissection. Note the "epiproct bearing a conspicuous apical tuberacle", "body colorless except for red brown piment distributed as follows ..."inner surfaces of coxae, two rows on each side of abdominal tergites 2-5..". I examined this specimen in alcohol with my dissecting microscope and I could easily see " claspers curved out and bulding near thier apices". Mockford confirmed my ID.
