also:
does the specimen have a 2-segmented antennal club? It appears that way to me from the photos, and with the inconspicuous 6th visible abdominal sternite, probably in the subgenus

Sorry Jerry- I meant that it is peculiar to me, for placement below Corticariinae, but with my comment
here
on the coxal lines, I think we can "safely" put it in
Melanophthalma
. I am used to those species having more angulate pronotal margins, but there are a number of species of that I haven't seen, and some on the Harvard MCZ website (e.g.
M. incompta
Fall
and
M. casta
Fall
), which do have similar flat, smooth, pronotal form...
