Size: ~25 mm total length
Same individual with closed forewings and taken with a flash rather than under incandescent light (I apologize for the glare).

Close call ...
Peter,
The same description could apply to several Metaxaglaea, because of its lighter red color, I'd say Holly Sallow Moth - Hodges #9945.2. Still, a tough call.
