Is the date correct? In that case, where did you find it? Under bark?

The date is correct!
I found it resting on an outside wall on a building in our small wooded park. I could see that it was alive when I gently poked it with a stick and it moved. It was gone when I checked the wall today.

Aha! It helps to mention that in the text. I wonder what it was doing outside exposed. I have found them under bark in January.

If I found it, I would call it Augochlora pura
Because every time a find a bee that looks like this, that's what it is. But wait for expert.

I'm really bad at telling between
Augochlora
and
Augochlorella

As in many cases with my IDs, I couldn't tell you exactly why I thought so, just having seen the species so many times, I seem to get a feel for its overall "look." ;)
