Date?
Is the date correct? In that case, where did you find it? Under bark?

The date is correct!
I found it resting on an outside wall on a building in our small wooded park. I could see that it was alive when I gently poked it with a stick and it moved. It was gone when I checked the wall today.

Hibernating
Aha! It helps to mention that in the text. I wonder what it was doing outside exposed. I have found them under bark in January.

If I found it, I would call it Augochlora pura
Because every time a find a bee that looks like this, that's what it is. But wait for expert.

Yes, thanks,
your ID was correct, Harry!

Consistent with Augochlorini
I'm really bad at telling between Augochlora and Augochlorella so I'll wait for Dr. Ascher to do this one :)

Thank you Nancy
As in many cases with my IDs, I couldn't tell you exactly why I thought so, just having seen the species so many times, I seem to get a feel for its overall "look." ;)

Thanks,
Harry, you are probably correct. However, it seemed a bit larger than other sweat bees I've seen.
