Small brown fly with patterned wings - female

Small brown fly with patterned wings - Female
Pryor, Mayes County, Oklahoma, USA
September 2, 2012
Size: 3 - 4 mm

Moved from Flies.

It has the head and pronotum of a Chironomus but we shouldn't have any with spotted wings. Some tropical species have spots. The wings resemble some Polypedilum (Tripodura).
