ant - Camponotus americanus
Franklin County, Missouri, USA
May 6, 2012
This ant seemed to be foraging among the leaves in the forest. It was all alone and I spotted no others in the area. I'm terrible at judging size but this was a good sized ant, I'd say about a cm in length.
