We at BugGuide like to run a tight ship, don't we! After Mockford expressed some doubts, I wanted to have this one moved into un-described species, but I wasn't sure how to do that. You are so on top of things. What would BugGuide do without you. Mockford expressed an interest in looking into the Lichenomima species before too long. He has so much work ahead it's amazing.

please refresh me on status of this specimen, hope there have been developments and it should be moved, but i may have missed something

either place it in the un-determined Lichenomima, or show to Ed for his opinion. I keyed it using his book, but he tells me that this whole genus (in the U.S.) needs revision.

it is sitting among the un-determined ones; i asked because...
[1] the title still says Lichenomima sparsa (Hagen) in a rather assertive manner (suggest adding a question mark to avoid confusion), and
[2] E.M. gave us a name for a Lichenomima(1) earlier today for a change, and i got all excited about apparent progress in this department!

and see what he recommends. He has been working on more than 1 manuscript and numerous other projects and I haven't heard from him in a while. Waiting anxiously though. Did you imply that he had IDed (I made up that verb) a Lichenomima to species recently??!

Diane, why don’t we make a ‘binding’ arrangement about sending stuff to Dr. Mockford to avoid duplication? I often skip some items of yours (or those with your comments) when putting together my lists for him, presuming that the two of you stay in touch and you would ask him directly.
Just tell me what behavior do you expect of me, and I will abide, ok? We must make sure nothing falls thru the cracks and at the same time protect our dear Ed, busy as he is, from redundant requests.
