ID help please.

Is this in the Genus Exochomus?

Thanks.

Based on what we know
This has to be Exochomus childreni ssp. childreni. The pronotum has no orange or red sides or marks, and is uniformly black, which is the first indicator of this particular taxon. Secondly the marking pattern, while not conclusive, is generally typical of this subspecies as well. The first point alone is generally considered diagnostic.

For absolute confirmation it would be useful to see the back of the bug. There is a black central spot there found in childreni, but not marginipennis, which is the only other option here.
