3255 - Pseudexentera haracana

3255 - Pseudexentera haracana
Bartlesville, Washington County, Oklahoma, USA
April 29, 2009
Supported as 3255 Pseudexentera kalmiana by DNA barcoding, BOLD LPOKC127-09.
This specimen is shown here: BOLD:AAC9040
A very worn specimen but it adds a species and its location in BG.
Found at UV light near pond in wooded area of a flood plain.

Moved from Pseudexentera kalmiana.

The shape of the very bold dark streak from the costa to center of wing indicates this is a worn P. haracana. Based on looking though the BOLD pages for this genus, barcoding may not be too terribly informative with this group...

Nice addition to the guide and nice collection record for the species which appears to be on the southern end of the known range. At your location it may have another host?
Thank you!
