Argiope argentata - female

Argiope argentata - Female
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, USA
April 24, 2010
I think it is an Argiope argentata, female. A confirmation would be good.
It had the web anchored on an Opuntia species. I discovered it on 23 April, but was too late and to dark for photo. I was returned the next day and I managed to make some photos. But I was not able to take pictures of the back, due to her position relative to Opuntia.
Second day I noticed that she had built stabilimentum (missing the first day) and had three prey wrapped in silk and some other small prey trapped in the web.

Moved to Argiope argentata
Moved from Argiope. Yes I agree with your ID, the other species A. blanda has a different ventral pattern.
