Robert, I have saved photos of 2 other specimens that look just like this. I began checking my slugs again for ID because it had worried me that this ID I wasn't sure of. Then I found, while looking for something else, a post from Ron Votaw, so I felt more confident of the ID. I quit taking pictures of the same slug long ago, but I see only this one.
I liked the detail and color in this picture but will post a second that shows some color difference in the second half like Ron's.
