Phigalia denticulata
River Edge, Bergen County, New Jersey, USA

Very unusual to have any kind of Moth here in January. It was found on the side of my house at around 3:40 PM.

Toothed Phigalia, male
That's a male Toothed Phigalia (
Phigalia denticulata
). It might be possible to locate a female, too, if you closely inspect the nearby walls. The females are interesting because they're
almost wingless
; you might not immediately recognize one as a moth. (The Guide doesn't seem to have a photo of the female yet.)
