Smaller than Large Necklace Moth, forewings have variable dark tinting.
Range
e. US: TX-FL-NJ-KS - Map (MPG)
Habitat
Deciduous forests and edges.
Season
mostly: Apr-Aug (BG data)
Life Cycle
Larvae feed on Persimmon, Diospyros virginiana and Sassafras, Sassafras albidum, both deciduous trees of old fields, woodland edges.
