Range
Widespread, but most diverse in the west; scarcely represented in the southeast
Remarks
The North American Psyllinae is made up of three major components:

Nearctic endemic genera (many spp. formerly treated as Arytaina)
Amorphicola: 2 spp., on Amorpha (Fabaceae); widespread
Ceanothia: 9 spp., on Ceanothus (Rhamnaceae); western
Euglyptoneura: 3 spp., on Ceanothus (Rhamnaceae); western
Nyctiphalerus: 11 spp., on Cercocarpus (Roseaceae) & Ceanothus (Rhamnaceae); western
Pexopsylla: a single sp., on Cercocarpus (Roseaceae); western (CA)
Purshivora: 2 spp., on Purshia (Roseaceae); western

Holarctic genera (formerly treated as Psylla)
Cacopsylla: over 60 native & 5 adventive spp., over half of native spp. on Salix (Saliaceae); widespread but most diverse in the west
Chamaepsylla: a single sp., on Betula (Betulaceae); widespread at northern latitudes
Psylla: 9 spp., especially on Betulaceae (Alnus, Betula, Carpinus), as well as Prunus (Roseaceae) & Buxus (Buxaceae); widespread

Arytaina: a single sp. in our area, on Cytisus (Fabaceae); palearctic, introduced on both coasts; earliest record MA, 1911
