Carabidae? - Agonum - Female
Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, USA
January 15, 2013
found under a log, outside temp. ~34 F. This seems like a difficult group to ID, not sure what can be done to narrow things down.

species Agonum gratiosum
species Agonum gratiosum

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

Europhilus of sorts, i suppose
several common ssp. look more or less the same:

short of dissection, dorsal microsculpture is usually pretty diagnostic
