Range
Eastern U.S., west to Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas.

Remarks
Hodges (1999) was unable to locate the type specimen(s) but located a specimen identified by Chambers which he designated as neotype. His description should be followed even though it seems to deviate from that of Chambers.
