Range

Native to the Old World (western Africa through Greece, the Middle East, Malaysia); introduced to Australia, Brazil, and the U.S. (Florida only so far).

Food

Primarily other smaller spiders, and small, flimsy insects it can easily overpower such as midges and silverfish.

Remarks

Will be easily mistaken for brown recluse in FL.

Likely purposely introduced in Port Richey, FL, so introducing individual could take credit for 'discovering' new foreign species in FL.
