Wow, that is one hardy moth. I just found one in mid-Jan but in SE TX.

 
January Moths
Untill now January has been warm, temp range 20-40. I have 4 species for the month. Spring and Fall Cranker Worm Moth and one just submitted. Thanks to bug guide for helping with all the id's. Moths are new to me and I feel I am on a raft in the middle of the ocean.
