Excellent shot of the circumanal setae. Indeed, the top median macroseta on the dorsal anal valve is bifurcate (this excludes Polykatianna). Note also the typically basal broadened other macrosetae. And below, each on a raised papilla of the left and right ventral anal valve, the highly modified palmate macroseta: the female sub-anal appendage.

This is the first Nearctic record of Sminthurinus niger!
