white pine angle - Macaria pinistrobata

white pine angle - Macaria pinistrobata
Epping, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
July 6, 2010
I believe this moth may be a white pine angle moth (Macaria pinistrobata) but could not locate a page for it. I ID'd this moth from the Beadle and Leckie Peterson Guide and from Moth Photographers Group here http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/species.php?hodges=6347

Would someone please confirm the ID on this moth for me?

Attracted to the backdoor light.

Thanks so much,
Siobhan

Think you may be right ...
Siobhan,
The description for M. signaria also describes M. pinistrobata (see comparison on your other image). It seems the only difference between the two is that M. pinistrobata has “a more black and white appearance due to the bolder contrast between light and dark areas.” This difference is largely substantiated by DNA supported specimens on BOLD.
