Wingless Meadow Katydid? -
Odontoxiphidium apterum
-
Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
August 14, 2006
The lack of wings, location, and shape/length of the ovipositor narrow this image down to only a couple of possibilites. I am leaning towards
Odontoxiphidium apterum
based on my search through
Singing Insects of N. America
.
This photo was taken at the
Frenchman's Forest Natural Area
