Looks like Hackberry Emperor
Is it possible that this is a Hackberry Emperor (Asterocampa celtis celtis) rather than a Tawny Emperor (Asterocampa clyton clyton)? The Hackberry has a large eyespot on the underside of the forewing, while the Tawny does not.

Yes you are correct Thanks!
Had looked at the top side and saw no eye spot which would be a tawny, but did not pay attention to the underside (even tho I posted it). Have gone back and looked at other photos of the butterfly. And have also looked at photos in Butterflies of IA. It is the hackberry so will move it.
