Waterscorpion - Nepa apiculata

Waterscorpion - Nepa apiculata
Shelburne, Chittenden County, Vermont, USA
April 10, 2012
Found crossing a road between two wetlands on a rainy night. I'm thinking maybe Lethocerus americanus?

Moved from ID Request.

Actually, something much cooler than Lethocerus!

awesome!
thanks for the ID help... I didn't realize that was a breathing tube, thought it was a long ovipositor. That explains why I didn't see that feature on any of the Lethocerus images.
