These are unusually striking looking
The structure of the insect and the location argue for
Trimerotropis huroniana
even though the color pattern is rather like
Triperotropis maritima
.
Sparagemon marmorata
can look similar too, but this one is structurally wrong for that species. So, I'm pretty sure this is
T. huroniana
.
Seeing the spread wings and the hind tibiae (both usually hidden in the usual poses) always makes things easier, when it is possible to show them. (
S. marmorata
and sometimes
T. maritima
would have red hind tibiae, and the hind wings of
T. huroniana
look different from those of the others).
