Dragonfly - Libellula axilena

Dragonfly - Libellula axilena
Auburn, Lee County, Alabama, USA
September 2, 2006
Suspect this specimen might be Libellula spp. perhaps vibrans (Great blue skimmer). Comments please

Moved
Moved from Dragonflies.

It's a Libellula
It looks to me more like L. axilena (Bar-winged). Do you have a shot of the face?

It's a Libellula
Thanks, Cliff, for the insight. Unfortunately had only a few seconds for the shot and did not get the face.
