South Georgia Millipede 1 - Dicellarius

South Georgia Millipede 1 - Dicellarius
Valdosta, Lowndes County, Georgia, USA
February 13, 2013
Size: About two inches.
I know very little about millipedes and I'm having a hard time finding solid info on Georgia species. My tentative could-be list includes: Auturus erythropygos becki, Euryurus maculatus, Pseudopolydesmus canadensis, Pseudopolydesmus serratus, or Eurymerodesmus serratus (based on Rowland Shelley's "Annotated checklist of the millipedes of Florida" (2000, Insecta Mundi). Any help would be greatly appreciated. This individual was seen in my backyard. We have quite a few of them, usually active at night, but sometimes also seen in the early morning. Definitely not rare. Very well established in my neighborhood.
