Red-spotted Lithocodia - Maliattha concinnimacula

Red-spotted Lithocodia - Maliattha concinnimacula
n.w. Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
February 21, 2013
Size: FW 10mm
Here's a Travis County record of this cute species (which I'd seen in field guides for years but just encountered for the first time this evening). I notice that my specimen is nearly identical with Maury's with the red blotched thorax, squarish orbicular spot and black bar, and other details of the maculation, and yet distinctly different from more eastern examples. Could we have two sibling species here? Has anyone studied the geographic variation in this species? Found at porchlight in wooded (juniper-oak-elm) suburban area.
