Carpenter Bee - Ceratina

Carpenter Bee - Ceratina
Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
August 27, 2006
This looks like several species to me and I can't pinpoint which one. It looks like some of the cuckoo wasps, some of the chalcids, and possibly Larropsis distincta. It was a very dark green and it appears there may be some black or darker stripes. Any help id'ing it would be appreciated.

Ceratina
It is not the best pic for an ID, but I would think it is a bee of the genus Ceratina. They often have a white marking on the head (clypeus) and are green or blue metallic and sometimes black. They have a strongly convex abdomen and are not very hairy.
