Lone Star Tick - Male? - Amblyomma americanum

I found this tick on my clothing after a walk in the woods near Tallahassee, FL. I believe its a male 'Lone Star' tick- Amblyomma americanum. But my ID needs confirmation. The coffee stirrer this individual is perched on is 4mm wide.

male A. americanum. We got covered by them two years ago at the Beetle Round-up in Clay Co, FL :)

Lyme disease is transmitted by Ixodes spp.
