Pink Barrels on Hornbeam - Chinavia hilaris

Pink Barrels on Hornbeam - Chinavia hilaris
Beavercreek, Greene County, Ohio, USA
July 12, 2012
Size: Small
I assume these are some kind of eggs, found on the underside of a leaf on Carpinus betulus pendula (Weeping European Hornbeam). Can anyone give me clue as to what may have laid them?

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Pentatomid, I presume

Pentatomidae
Looks like Chinavia.

Thank you
for the ID, RMEvans. And in fact, I have photos taken of a bug on this very same plant nine days before this photo, which were ID'd here on bugguide as Chinavia hilaris.

Thank you
for the quick ID, Ken.
