Another great addition. Although normally challenging to discern from
Corticaria
based only on the dorsum, the ventral photo shows the "scoop-shaped", elongate first tarsomeres (evident on both the meso- and metatarsi) characteristic of
Corticarina
. Ventrally, the first tarsomere almost covers the second with this projection.
I was going to add a cropped photo of this to your series, but stopped short of messing up your post! :-)

how about I go back and try to image the tarsi with a higher mag setup. I'm ready for a new optics challenge (or perhaps just for an excuse to hunt for new optics ;)
