indoor beetle - Phymatodes testaceus

Several of these beetles seen in the house in the last few weeks - after the first significant snow fall. Martha thinks they are coming from the firewood.

Martha is right: this Eurasian beetle commonly shows up in US homes, brought inside with imported firewood
