Soft Tick - Argas

Soft Tick - Argas
Las Cruces NMSU Gerald Thomas Hall outside of Blake's Lotta Burger on the wall, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, USA
March 6, 2013
I found these on the stucco walls outside mostly in a corner where there is a large pine or juniper growing. The fat one was the first I found then I looked for more that's when I found the three thinner ones. That Hall is next to the judging place that holds sheep, pigs, cows, and other animals all the time, right now I think we have sheep in the barns, either way that's a very long walk for a tick to make.
