Bombus on Elk Thistle - Bombus kirbiellus

Bombus on Elk Thistle - Bombus kirbiellus
Rocky Mountain National Park, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
August 8, 2011
Size: ~ 20-21.5 mm
Our best guess on this bumble bee is B. balteatus? Or possibly B. frigidus? It was found on Elk Thistle (probably Cirsium foliosum) at Rock Cut, elevation 12,110'. Any help will be much appreciated.
