Aleiodes (Tetrasphaeropyx) kisomm
Although this specimen's coloration may be similar to A. politiceps, it is anything but. It is much smaller (4.3 mm; A. politiceps is 7-8 mm). This small size and the large, carapace-like fourth abdominal tergite are distinctive for subgenus Tetrasphaeropyx. In addition, the rugose metasomal sculpturing distinguishes this species from the heavy striate sculpturing of A. politiceps metasomal tergites, as does the black metasomal coloration (orange in A. politiceps).
