small gray bruchine - Acanthoscelides pallidipennis

small gray bruchine - Acanthoscelides pallidipennis
base of Organ Mountains, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, USA
August 13, 2006
Size: about 2.1 mm
Collected by beating blooming Apache Plume boughs into net. This makes three distinct (to my eye anyway) species of Bruchinae collected on my New Mexico trip.

Underside view deleted.
I had posted an underside view, averedly of this beetle, but I've removed it for lack of confidence that it was in fact the same beetle.
