Sap-feeding Beetle
Moved from ID Request.

Prometopia sexmaculata
.

Size?
Michael,
What accounts for this beetle being twice the size of my usual P. sexmaculata? While there is an obvious difference in thread-count, I physically measured it, to be sure. I would not have thought there would be this big a difference within a species. Thank you.
Robert

I have
about 80 specimens in front of me and it seems like the variation is pretty huge. Im getting everything from 4mm to 8mm
