Eric- thanks much.

Zelus longipes, I suspect

Ken- thanks much- it visually
Ken- thanks much- it visually appears an identical match to a, "Nymph of Zelus longipes"

doesn't look like a coreid, let alone Leptoglossus
check out Zelus and thereabouts

Arianna- thank you for yo
Arianna- thank you for your identification. Subsequent to direction from y Belov to research "Zelus" I arrived at the conclusion the bug was possibly "Zelus longipes", as you have pointed out.

I should be more cautious when submitting by digital captures. The shoe leather taste takes a while to wear off.

Leptoglossus
Last year I was raising what we suspected were Leptoglossus nymphs based on the eggs. Thistle is classic Leptoglossus fare. Unfortunately, I had some "help" and they never made it past that first instar so identification was always tenuous. Most of the pics of the nymphs were frassed b/c they were truly awful but I think I have the egg pics and one or two good nymph pics somewhere. The nymphs looked exactly like this and were rearing well on, I think, bull thistle (Cirsium vulgare).

Thanks MUCH "LaciP" for the i
Thanks MUCH "LaciP" for the info. I look forward to sitting on my portable stool, taking my time macro digitally capturing the bugs on our currently blooming Circium horridulum, Yellow Thistle".

My submission appears to be a "Nymph of Zelus longipes", as per Ken and Arianna. This has been a most interesting learning experience.
