Found dead in greenhouse.

It looks like a perfect match for Buprestis aurulenta except for range... thanks for any help.

Identification
If someone were to have shown me that photo without indication of origin, my immediate reaction would be to call it B. aurulenta. I'm not sure I have seen quite that extreme of color variant in B. striata. However, if you look closely at the image you will see that the prominent raised elytral costae are distinctly punctate. That is typical of B. striata. The color of that species, though, is highly variable. Our western B. aurulenta too varies widely, but I do not know of any dark form like is common in B. striata. Other closely related species occur in Europe, B. splendens, and Japan, B. niponica.
