Callobius in snow - Callobius bennetti

Callobius in snow - Callobius bennetti
Blackville, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada
March 26, 2013
Size: 8 mm
A few weeks ago, I submitted a Callobius which I found in the basement. This one is "free range". I have seen several walking across the snow the past two afternoons. Really my reason for submitting this is that I hope you can identify the stippled, vertical, glassy-looking structure behind what I think is the femur of the pedipalp in the side view. Perhaps just water droplets as on the pedipalp? Thanks.
