Donacausta sp. - Eucosma ambodaidaleia

Donacausta sp. - Eucosma ambodaidaleia
East brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA
March 29, 2013
Size: 8-9 mm ±
Attracted to CF light on front porch in a wooded, suburban environment.
The veining patters would appear to be diagnostic but perhaps because this is so early in the season, the markings may not be strong.
The moth is sitting on a horizontal metal address sign that was 0.25" wide. As it was pushed up against the siding of the house,
I don't know if it had much of a snout or not, or if a snout could be curved under. It stayed in this position for a long time before finally moving away.
Any ideas?

Eucosma sp.?
I was struck by the similarity of your image to one of mine posted earlier today- . I suspect that these might be Hodges#3004.1 (Eucosma ambodaidaleia) but definitely need further confirmation.

I Agree
Seems to match description and pinned images BOLD and MPG reasonably well.

I think this is a Tortricid. It looks a little like a Bactra sp.. What is Donacausta? I can't find it.

You thinking ...

Yes!
I cut and paste this from another page on BG. As I see now, that one was corrected, too. Specifically I was thinking Donacaula uxorialis - Hodges #5323 (Donacaula uxorialis) as a possibility. Am I at least close, Bill?

I know it's out of BGs current range map, but things have been on the move in the past few years and I can't seem to come to a firm conclusion with this one.

Thanks,
Rich

Hopefully, ...
