Pink? Grasshopper - Female
Rowland Heights, LA County, California, USA
March 31, 2013
Aren't grasshoppers supposed to be green or brown? The ones that I usually see in my area are those colors. Is this a different species? I would like to know its ID and how would I raise it to adulthood if I wanted to take pictures of its adult form. Plz instruct me or send me a link.

I keep coming back to this one,
but I'm not entirely certain which species it is. Did you take any other photos from other angles?

Best guess right now is Trimerotropis pallidipennis - 3rd instar nymph (about half grown).

My first thought was , but it seems a little off.
